Managing cultural differences & governance in offshore relationships – Vantage Partners

I recently read a study done  by Vantage Partners on their findings on governance in offshoring relationship management and how ‘cultural differences’ impact the workings and success of global teams and initiatives.

The study has  factual and valid observations which companies looking to offshore or currently managing offshore relationship need to look at.  Some of these things mentioned in the study, when you read appear fairly obvious but I compare it to reading a self help book. We all know what is right and from time to time need someone to present that to us as an expert peer level view to confirm and apply the ‘right concepts’  in real life.  The study I believe does a good job in  defining  the term ‘cultural differences’ , a word  used commonly as the end all for all issues related to failures of offshoring initiatives.

A good read.
