Infosys BPO to hire 1500-2000 by end of current fiscal

Infosys had projected in their earnings report that they plan to increase their total intake this fiscal by around 2000 and increase their headcount in the BPO business. Revenues for last quarter for Infosys BPO were $71.3 million with a profit of $16.3 million. Total current strength is 16,000.
Still a small component and if you compare to the Pure play BPO like Genpact which had a revenue of $284.5 million for last quarter and an employee strength of around 38K. (Genpact facts and learnings)
