Outsourcing industry entry level salaries lower in India by 20%

Source: EconomicTimes
Date: Nov 3rd, 2009

This article (LINK) in Economic Times talks about the lower salaries being offered to entry level folks. So with the firms commiting to hire people ( TCS 24,000, Infosys 20,000), at the lower salary points cost to firms will be lower.

Interesting the price points for customers of outsourcing services has not come down, so the differential will be translating into margins for the outsourcing firms.

The cost of experienced hires also seem to be flat compared to when captives were willing to pay a boat load of cash to hire people.

As per the article cost of new employees today:$3,700 to $ 6,500 / annum
Two years ago: $6,500 to $11,000 /annum

No relate
