TCS Wins 5 year Volkswagen deal

Volkswagen goes to TCS
Tata Consultancy Services has been awarded a five-year outsourcing contract by the Volkswagen group, UK, for IT transformation and support system across the company’s commercial vehicles and passenger car brands. The auto major, an arm of Volkswagen AG, markets brands like Audi, Skoda, Seat and Volkswagen.
TCS did not share any financial details of the deal. However, the contract comes at a time when India’s largest software firm has seen fall in demand for outsourcing contracts from US auto players.
For TCS which faces losing GM as one of their key clients in the US because of auto troubles in the US, this is a good win in the automative sector
