ACS and Nike sign an IT outsourcing contract

ACS has been awarded a five-year contract extension to provide information technology outsourcing services to Nike Inc.
Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Dallas-based ACS (NYSE: ACS) will supply infrastructure services, including global datacenter, network, security, mainframe, midrange and messaging from ACS centers in the United States, Asia and the Americas, including ACS’ Northwest regional datacenter in Hillsboro, Ore.
In addition, ACS will provide services from Nike datacenters in Andover, Mass., Memphis, Tenn., and Hilversum, the Netherlands.
Roland Paanakker, Nike’s vice president and chief information officer. said ACS’ products and services will improving the company’s datacenter infrastructure and create stronger information technology platforms.
Beaverton, Ore.-based Nike (NYSE: NKE) makes athletic footwear, apparel, equipment and accessories and owns Converse Inc., Cole Haan Holdings Inc., Umbro Ltd. and Hurley International LLC.
