The New Year brings with it high expectations for KPO (Knowledge Process
outsourcing) companies.
SmithStreetSolutions (SSS), one of the few pioneers in China KPO industry, today has
announced plans to triple its employees in 2008.
“We’re pleased with our performance in 2007 largely. However it’s been a pity for us
to turn down orders we can not deal with because of our limited personnel,” said
Franklin Yao, CEO of SSS, with a smile. The 30-year-old Yale man did not conceal his
ambition when asked about its plan for 2008. “We have kept picking up new clients on
a steady basis since the foundation of SmithStreetSolutions. Now we’ve seen great
demand for KPO services and increasing interests in the booming China markets. So we
plan to triple our staff to leverage the market opportunities.”
In addition to its recruiting plan, the company intends to take up new service lines
besides its current KPO services. SSS’ constant pursuit of quality and its
successful sales strategy have landed it unexpected orders, from the enterprise
software market in Taiwan to conversion of ancient Chinese text. “Thanks to our
solid work in 2007, the company has already laid a base to sustain its future
development. 2008 will see rapid growth of SSS. We will grow with a couple of our
peer companies in China and together with them define the country’s KPO industry,”
said the young CEO confidently.
