AMR Research Welcomes Phil Fersht as Research Director

AMR Research is pleased to welcome Phil Fersht to the firm as a research director on the Enterprise Strategies team. Fersht’s coverage areas include business process outsourcing and application consulting services. Fersht brings over 13 years of experience in the outsourcing and consulting industry to AMR Research. “We are extremely pleased to welcome Phil to our team,” said Lee Geishecker, vice president and general manager of Enterprise Strategies at AMR Research. “His knowledge of the outsourcing and application consulting industries will add significant breadth and depth to the advice we give our clients.” Fersht previously served as a senior executive for Deloitte Consulting’s Outsourcing Advisory Services, where he led numerous outsourcing and offshoring advisory engagements with Fortune 500enterprises. Prior to Deloitte, Fersht performed a dual senior consultant/analyst role for Everest Group as the vice president of the BPO Practice. Fersht also served as the vice president of global IT services andoutsourcing at Yankee Group, led regional Asia/Pacific consulting and research practices for IDC, and was a consulting director for IDC’s global software practice. Fersht is a frequent author and speaker on finance, accounting, and ITand HR outsourcing trends. He was named both an “FAO” and an “HROSuperstar” by FAOToday and HROToday magazines for 2005, 2006 and 2007, andwas featured in the cover story for the December 2006 issue of FAOToday as one of the outsourcing industry’s most prominent advisors. He speaks regularly at industry conferences. Ferst received a bachelor of science with honors in European business and technology from Coventry University, United Kingdom, and a diplome universitaire de technologie in business and technology from the Universityof Grenoble, France. “I am delighted to return to the analyst fold at a critical time in the outsourcing industry,” said Fersht. “Enterprises today desire impartial advice, deep functional expertise, and strategic insight.
